Proper welding of metallic parts is a key issue in high-precision manufacturing where close tolerances in the as-assembled , as-welded state are of importance. An approach similar to that of machining is followed involving dedicated analytical and numerical simulations for each case combined with the right choice of welding method and correct application of the selected technique. As a result, the dimensional stability in the assembled mode is retained even in cases where high tolerances in the welded components is required. In collaboration with NOVAPAX HELLAS, a leading Greek company in the field of welding, MORFI can expand its in-house welding facilities involving TIG and MIG into laser welding and cold welding. Brazing and vacuum-brazing is possible using the in-house available high-temperature vacuum furnaces and autoclaves.
