The company has in-house facilities for a number of surface treatments and heat treatments of parts and assemblies. Surface treatment facilities include:
- Aluminum alloy anodisation baths (electrochemical)
- Metal-plating (zinc, nickel, chrome, silver, gold) (electrochemical)
- Phosphatisation and black-oxide coatings (chemical)
- Surface passivation
- Allodyne coating
The heat treatment facility comprises a set of two recirculating air ovens, the large one measuring 2x2x2m able to reach temperatures up to 350°C and the smaller one measuring 1x0.5x0.5m able to reach temperatures as high as 750°C. The former is mainly used for paint and coating stabilisation of big parts and the latter for heat treatment (i.e. stress-relieving, quenching, tempering, annealing etc) of metallic parts. Both facilities are equipped with computer temperature control and the high-temperature oven can also have controlled atmosphere (i.e reducing H2 or inert N2, Ar) and pressure (a few mbar to 20 bar).
